8-Day Socotra Adventure Tour Itinerary

Wake up to breakfast on the beach before beginning your first major adventure: Hoq Cave. Hoq Cave is the most famous and impressive cave on Socotra. The trail begins approximately 10 minutes from camp by vehicle. Hiking to the cave: 1–1.5 hours Exploring inside the cave: 45 minutes Return through the cave: 45 minutes Hike back down: About 1 hour Inside the cave you'll discover spectacular stalactites, stalagmites, and beautiful limestone formations. Since the cave remains untouched, there are no artificial lights or walkways—only nature in its purest form. After the hike, lunch will be served on the beach. The afternoon is free for swimming and relaxation before an optional sunset hike to a panoramic viewpoint. Although the climb is challenging, the views are unforgettable. Guests who prefer to relax may remain at camp and enjoy sunset from the nearby sand dunes. Dinner and overnight camping at Arher Beach.

Your day begins before sunrise with a short walk to one of the island's finest sunrise viewpoints. After breakfast, we leave camp and travel to Homhil Protected Area. Homhil is home to many of Socotra's endemic plants, including: Dragon Blood Trees Desert Rose Trees Boswellia (Frankincense) Several other rare endemic species A 30-minute hike leads to the famous natural infinity pool overlooking the coastline. After enjoying the scenery, we hike back for lunch. In the afternoon we continue to Dihamri Marine Reserve, one of the best snorkeling locations on the island. Here you may encounter: Sea turtles Octopuses Leopard eels Parrotfish Numerous colorful coral reef species Snorkeling equipment is available to rent through the local dive center. Dinner and overnight camping under the stars.

After breakfast, we travel to the beautiful Kilisan Wadi, surrounded by dramatic mountains, freshwater pools, and endemic vegetation. Enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear natural pools, relaxing in the peaceful surroundings, and, if you're lucky, spotting one of Socotra's famous color-changing chameleons. After lunch we continue south toward the spectacular Zahek Sand Dunes and Aomak Beach. The enormous white dunes stretch directly alongside the Indian Ocean, creating one of Socotra's most breathtaking landscapes. Dinner and overnight camping on the beach.

After breakfast we visit Dagub Cave, famous for its beautiful rock formations and naturally dripping water. We then continue to the legendary Dixam Plateau, home to the world's largest concentration of ancient Dragon Blood Trees. Drive through the breathtaking landscape while learning about the unique ecology of Socotra and the importance of these iconic umbrella-shaped trees. Enjoy lunch surrounded by nature before spending the afternoon exploring the forest and searching for endemic bird species. Dinner and overnight camping in the highlands.

Today we leave the highlands and head west toward the beautiful coastal town of Qalansiyah, the second-largest settlement on Socotra. Spend time exploring the village before enjoying lunch. In the afternoon we visit the famous Detwah Lagoon, one of the island's most beautiful protected areas. You'll also meet the well-known local "Caveman," who has lived beside the lagoon for many years and will introduce you to the fascinating marine life found there. Enjoy swimming, hiking, relaxing on the beach, or simply taking in the stunning scenery. Dinner and overnight camping near Detwah Lagoon.

This morning we board a boat for an unforgettable journey to Shoab Beach, approximately 1.5 hours away. Along the way you may see large pods of playful dolphins swimming beside the boat. Spend time swimming and relaxing on Shoab Beach before returning for lunch. Later, enjoy tea with the local Caveman overlooking the lagoon before heading back to Hadiboh, the capital of Socotra. Guests staying in hotels will check in before exploring: Local markets Traditional Yemeni restaurants Souvenir shops Guests camping will continue to Delisha Beach for their final night under the stars.

Before departing, we'll visit the local market where you can purchase authentic Socotra souvenirs. Afterward, we will transfer you to Socotra International Airport for your departure flight.
